Tapa Ballroom
The main feature of the Tapa Conference Center is the 16,536-square-foot Tapa Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,500 banquet guests or 2,024 with theater-style seating. The Tapa Ballroom offers a professional sound system and a state-of-the-art lighting system for creative special effects. The Ballroom can be divided into two or three smaller function rooms.
Décor
Following the renovations to the Tapa Conference Center, the décor reflects the "Tapa" motif and features natural earth tones and subtle Hawaiian prints throughout the space. Tapa refers to bark cloth made from the paper mulberry tree. In ancient Hawaii, the bark cloth was painted with natural dyes to form distinctive patterns. The decorative Tapa cloth was then worn for fashion and also symbolized personal identity based on the design depicted on the cloth.

Renovations
The entire Tapa Conference Center - including the Tapa Ballroom, Palace Lounge, Honolulu Suite and Iolani Suite - was completely renovated in 2000. Carpeting in the ballroom and pre-function area has been replaced with a contemporary Hawaiian design. Additional enhancements include new sound and lighting systems, new chandeliers and new wall coverings, all providing a fresh, vibrant ambiance.
One of the most unique features of the renovated Tapa Ballroom is the one-of-a-kind chandeliers that were specifically designed for this room. These three unique chandeliers offer state-of-the-art lighting features that can blend and move various colors and allow for controlled dimming and adjusting of light levels to accommodate and set the appropriate mood for any type of function or performance.
High-Speed Internet Access
To better meet the sophisticated technology requirements of your meetings,
all our meeting rooms now offer high-speed Internet access. With this
advanced technology, you can tap the power of the Internet to add a new
