About the Chef

Chef Francois Bougard was appointed restaurant chef in April 2008. He most recently served as chef tournant for the hotel. Bougard’s extensive culinary experience began in Paris at the Le Montparnass 25 Restaurant as an apprentice cook. His career has taken him to other locales such as San Francisco, California and Kapalua, Maui before arriving in Waikiki on Oahu. After serving as a pantry cook and line cook in Northern California, he landed at the renowned Pastis Restaurant in San Francisco as its sous chef. He has also served as chef tournant at The Anuenue Room at The Ritz-Carlton in Kapalua, Maui and at La Mer Restaurant at Halekulani Hotel. In 2006 after a brief stint at Le Vistamar Restaurant in Monaco, France, he joined the Hilton Hawaiian Village as its chef tournant. Bougard is a graduate of Ecole Culinaire Ferandi in Paris, Bougard is fluent in French.
