Duke Kahanamoku Beach Named #2 Beach in America for 2012
Duke Kahanamoku Beach has been named as the #2 beach in America for 2012, according to "Dr. Beach." Dr. Stephen Leatherman's annual list. Duke Kahanamoku Beach is the beach fronting the Hilton Hawaiian Village and made this year's list for the third consecutive year.
As “Dr. Beach” , Leatherman has selected the annual Top 10 Beaches since 1991. Fifty criteria are used to evaluate beaches, which include water and sand quality as well as safety and environmental management. Dr. Leatherman is an internationally known coastal scientist.

Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa Named as One of Ten Best Family Beach Resorts by Parents Magazine
Hilton Hawaiian Village is the only Hawaii resort named to the distinguished list in the magazine’s March 2010 issue.
Hilton Hawaiian Village has been named No. 8 on Parents magazine’s Ten Best Family Beach Resorts in the United States and Caribbean in the magazine’s March 2010 issue. From a survey conducted among family travel agents and tourism boards, Parents made the final choices by evaluating the range of family activities, the quality and uniqueness of the supervised children’s program, the size and quality of the room, safety factors such as lifeguards, fun features for parents, the overall value for your money, and much more.
“The best family vacation destinations are both fun for kids and relaxing for adults,” says Dana Points, editor-in-chief of Parents. “The beach resorts on our new list are affordable, yet they offer perks that moms and dads will remember from their pre-kid days. These resorts grant everyone’s vacation wishes--from kiddie pools to swim-up bars.”

In 2007, the Hilton Hawaiian Village won its second "Green Business Award" from the State of
Hawaii. The award is part of the statewide Green Business Program, a program sponsored by the
